Odoo Software is one of the biggest players in the ERP space world-wide and is growing exponentially in South Africa.

About the Role
This role calls for an experienced and operationally grounded Accountant who understands the full mechanics of Accounting from both a hands-on transactional standpoint and a governance and compliance perspective. You will be a key partner in the implementation of our clients’ ERP environments, engaging with stakeholders at every level of their organisation and providing business and strategic insight as part of the delivery process.
The mandate is broad and intentionally dynamic. You will work across multiple clients, sectors and problem statements, driving value by thinking smarter and moving faster to identify opportunities for better ways of working. Your curiosity and continuous learning mindset will be critical, as will your willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle detailed or repetitive tasks when needed, knowing they sharpen your skill set and strengthen your strategic capability.

Responsibilities
- Support and lead the implementation of our software for clients from a finance perspective, ensuring our clients get the most business and strategic benefit from implementing our software.
- Propose, support and advise the CEO on strategic initiatives, internal operations and process improvements.
- Build, manage, mentor and grow a finance team to service both internal stakeholders and external client needs.
- Ensure best practices in financial processes and controls within both the company and the client use of our systems.
Requirements
- Practical and demonstrable working knowledge of the mechanics of the Accounting application within an ERP system.
- Advanced Excel and Management Reporting skills and knowledge.
- Ability to identify issues and find problems using data provided. Can you find the needle in the haystack?
- Solid understanding of Cost Accounting and Foreign Exchange.
- Kindness, patience and compassion knowing that not everybody picks things up as quickly as you do.
- Clear and concise communication both verbally and written.
- Relevant Tertiary Degree
- 4 - 5 years of relevant experience
